Teach Me Tuesday for MBT

Hello Again! I am here with another "Teach Me Tuesday" Tutorial for MB's Treasurista.

I am so super glad you could join me for this weeks TMT tutorial! I will be honest... this weeks was super difficult for me to come up with! There have been so many amazing tutorials done so far from the other fantastic DT members that I had absolutely no idea what to make! HA! So, picture this, I have literally all my MBT goodies on my table in front of me and I am taking them out of their packaging one by one just staring at them thinking "what can I make with you?!?" It took me like 45 minutes to come up with a fresh idea! I do hope you enjoy! :)

I made an embellishment that you could use on paper or in your hair. Versatile, right?!? I KNOW! I really think they turned out super cute.

The supplies you will need are:
Satin flower w/ pearl center (MBT)
Round pearl/bead spray (MBT)
Feathers
Tulle
Alligator clips (if making hair clips)
Hot Glue
Scrap paper of any color

Please watch the video below to see a step by step process of how they were made! Be sure to check out MB's Treasurista for the yummy satin flowers as well as many other fabulous items!

MBT Mother's Day Blog Hop

Hello and WELCOME to the MB's Treasurista Mother's Day Blog Hop! I can't wait to show you what I have made for this hop! If you've come to me from my amazing friend Lina's blog then you are right on track! If you just happened to stumble upon my blog and want to join the hop please go back to Misty's Blog HERE and start at the beginning! :)

This months theme for the blog hop was Mother's Day and Spring themed. So I wanted to make an altered picture frame for my mom and a card to go with it! Take a look:

I used several MBT products on this frame. First is the ruffled satin trim in cream that I used Lina's Teach Me Tuesday technique from this week to create! Please check it out HERE if you are interested in making this gorgeous trim! I uses many acrylic flowers, the beaded pearl trim, pearl bead sprays, and the rhinestone trim! AHH, I LOVE it all! :) I used quite a few MFT flower dies to create all the paper flowers along the side.

Close up of the satin trim with the beaded pearl trim! If you look closely you will see that I put the burlap trim behind the satin trim embellishment.

I used the MFT Sweet Stack die-cuts to decorate the inside of the frame.

I made a matching card to go with the frame. I used the MFT Pure Innocence stamp set called "Bunch of Blooms." I colored her up with my Copics and paper pieced the dress. I made the cloud background using tumbled glass Distress Ink and I made the grass using Copics. I used more of the burlap trim as kind of a fence like object. I then used a porcelain flower, acrylic wheat spray and pearl bead spray on the card. I really like how it turned out and how well the card goes with the frame. :)

Please Check out the MBT products I used:

Copic Markers and Techniques Questions?!?

Good Evening! I wanted to reach out to my readers to possibly help me with a couple questions I have about Copic markers and the like. I am still SUPER new to using Copic markers and I know a lot of learning comes from trial and error. I am however having something very frustrating happen to me quite often. Ok here goes:

When trying to color and image using Copic markers stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto (for this example) Bazzill Coconut Swirl paper I get this bleeding effect. It's happened with another paper as well so I think it's something I am doing. Is the paper getting too saturated?!!? What is going on here!? You can see it around the mouth and the hat of the image on the left.

SORRY FOR THE TERRIBLE QUALITY. I just quickly used my web cam! :/

Please help me! Any and all tips and tricks will be MUCH appreciated!!!

Katie

SNSC DT Banner for Videos

Hello Loves!!! I am soooo excited to come back to you with another project for Sweet Nothings Stamp Co. I really like to have a project in the background of my videos when I am just kind of babbling along so the viewer knows what company I am talking about and have something fun to look at! I chose to make a small banner for my Sweet Nothings Stamp Co DT card.

I decided to use two different images on this project and I chose Sweet Sophie as well as Rainy Day Sophie! TOO CUTE!

Here is my project:

I used quite a few MBT products on this banner. Each pennant is edged with the ruffled satin trim of a different color as well as lined in the silver mesh bling. I used the mini yellow organza butterfly as well as the mini apple green acrylic flower.

Rainy Day Sophie

Sweet Sophie

Please go check out SweetNothingsStampCo!! Don't you just LOVE Sophie and all her cuteness?!?!

Here's the card sketch:

For my card creation I was thinking spring and thinking storms and how sometimes in life it feels like all it does is rain on our parade and how through those storms we always need good friends to help us get throught the ups and downs. So I chose to use the MFT  a La Mode stamp The Rainbow Will Come! I love this stamp! She is just too cute! The paper collection I used was the MME Miss Caroline Howdy Doody line. I love the pastel colors on this paper. Here is my card:

The MBT products I used on this card are:

~ Porcelain Flowers
~White/Yellow Eyelet Lace
