I made a card! YAY for cards! :) You will see in the center I colored and paper pieced an image but around the image I used the new black and sliver bling to accent the image! I love the look this gave to the image.

I used all kinds of Misty's new products in this embellishment corner! :) First and foremost you can see the small clear acrylic butterfly. SUPER cute! :) Then I used several of the mini acrylic flowers in different colors as well as the very amazing acrylic wheat sprays! I LOVE these!

I used a piece of the black ruffled satin trim to finish off the bottom of the card and stamped the sentiment from the MFT stamp set!

Happiness & Raindrops Card

Hello all you crafty minds! I was super inspired by this months My Favorite Things Sneak Previews of all the new products. I already placed my order for many of the new items and is very excited to receive them.  I saw a card during the hop that just caught my eye so I decided to make one like it! I bought a new stamp set a couple weeks ago and hadn't used it yet. It is the Darcie's stamp set titled Raindrop Kisses. Such a CUTE set! If you haven't seen and Darcie's stamps, check them out HERE! Here is the card I created, I do hope you like it!

The paper I used for the card was My Minds Eye Quite Contrary-Jack & Jill. I stamped, colored and paper pieced the image. I used some twine to make a cute bow. The sentiment is from the Essential Sentiments MFT stamp sets whish is stamped on a mini file tab.

I used glossy accents on the puddle and raindrops to make them look more like water. This idea I got from many of the women on the MFT design team!!! :) LOVE THIS!

I used the layered labels die-namic and stamped the sentiment from the Darcie's stamp set. On the bottom I used a scallop border from MFT and layered on some large black mesh bling from MB's Treasurista.

Here are the Copic markers I used:

Thanks for stopping by!

Teach Me Tuesday for MBT

Hello Again! I am here with another "Teach Me Tuesday" Tutorial for MB's Treasurista.

This month I am here to show you a new way to utilize the mini acrylic flowers that Misty sells HERE!  These acrylic flowers are sold in MANY different colors! Here is a list of the colors: Sage Green, Brown, Apple, Orange, Fuchsia, Turquoise, Clear, Yellow and Purple!!!! WOW.... so many colors. I love all of them. I really like how the flowers look added to other paper flowers, but I wanted to try something different.

Supplies needed are:

Mini Acrylic Flowers
Green Distress Ink
Ink Blending Tool
Wire Cutters

So, what I decided to do is make a bouquet of flowers for a sympathy card. I gathered a selection of flowers I wanted to use to create the bouquet and then inked the stems with Peeled Paint Distress Ink.

This is what the wrapped wire stem looks like once it is all inked up.

After all the stems are inked, I twisted the stems together to create the bouquet. This is the look of the completed bouquet:

Here is a picture of the completed card. I used lots of MB's Treasurista's goodies on this card and I LOVE how it turned out! :)

I used a hot pink card base and used the corner chomper to round the edges of the card. I used a piece of patterned paper as the second layer for this card. I then used kraft cardstock to cut out the dainty doily oval by MFT and layered an oval die cut. I inked the edges of all of the paper with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I glued the bouquet on top of the oval.

The sentiment is from the Essential Sentiments Stamp set from MFT and is stamped on one of the mini file tab die-namics. Now for Misty's amazing products!!! The scalloped burlap is cut from a piece of the natural burlap trim from MBT. The first layer is the cream satin trim and on top of that the Pink Gicot Gimp Trim. The bow is also made of the white seam binding that was sprayed with some glimmer mist.

I truly hope you like my Teach Me Tuesday Tutorial and that it inspires you to create! :)
