Not Your Typical Wedding Card

Hey there! So, my cousin is having a St. Louis Cardinals themed wedding and I wanted to make her a super adorable card that had a baseball theme.  This was somewhat difficult because I wanted to fully embrace the baseball theme but still make it a "pretty" wedding card. So, tell me what you think. Did I accomplish my goal?!? I hope the newlyweds LOVE this card and can treasure it forever as not a typical wedding card! :)

Here it is:

The only patterend paper I used was the paper with the baseballs on it and I unfortunately do not know the brand for it. I colored the skin, hair and come clothing using my Copic markers. From MB's Treasurista I used the Maraschino and Charcoal Twinery Bakers Twine as well as the silver mesh bling around the "Baseball Field."

Support the Girls....

October (which crazy enough is right around the corner) is National Breast Cancer Awareness month!  I love being able to support the cure for breast cancer any way I can as well as supporting and encouraging those whom have been affected by breast cancer. I wanted to make a card to show my support! So, here it is:

The paper collection I used was the Me & My Big Ideas breast cancer support paper stack! As soon as I saw this stack I just knew I had to buy it! I purchased both the 8X8 and the 12X12!! The stamp set is of course a MFT a la mode stamp set titled Fight Like a Girl. I colored her using my Copic markers and added some I am Roses as a corner embellishment. The round doily as well as the flags are also MFT die-namics. Can you tell I LOVE My Favorite Things?!?!?

Anyways, that is my share for the day! I hope this post inspires you to make a breast cancer support card for someone you love or maybe even a stranger. You have no idea how cards like these during tough times can really brighten an individuals day! :)

September Creative Challenge SNSC

Good Morning Fellow Crafters! I am so excited for you to be joining Sweet Nothings Stamp Co. and it’s very talented Design Team for our September Creative Challenge.

From now on, the 2nd Tuesday of every other month we will run a Creative Challenge. Some months the challenge may be a color palette to work with, other months it may be a theme or a layout. Every other month will be something new and creative for you to challenge yourself with. There will be a sweet little prize to be won as well. 

For the month of September, we will be challenging you to create a project with this beautiful Autumn colour palette. This super cute color palette is great for any type of card and you can use any sentiment you'd like. Here is the inspiration for this month:

What Have I Been Up To?!?!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to do an update and tell you all (whoever you are) what I have been working on lately. SO, I have finally done it.... I just started using Copic markers like 2 weeks ago. Let me tell you...I went from having 2 ( Which I so kindly received in a package from Nancy GoingCriCrAzY) to 36 in about a week!!! OH MY GOODNESS! You know when you hear something is addictive and your like "yeah right, there is no way that Copics can be addictive?..." Well guess what for those of you who have not used them... they are SOOO addictive! Jeeze! So, I have been working on my coloring and am excited for The Greeting Farm's Farmers Market which is going to be taking place on September 22, 2011. If you haven't heard of TGF check them out HERE! They carry some of the most cutest and best stamps to color with Copics! I can't wait to get my hands on some! :) Anywho... the Farmers Market is were for one day and until supplies last they deeply discount a couple of their stamps and boy to they go FAST! I mean lightning fast because they are that adorable!  Welp, I am going to try and get some this time. Last farmers market I was too late! :( So I still have yet to actually use the stamps but I have used some digital images and love them! So again, check them out!

I am also super excited to say that I am featured member on a crafting community website called Creating The Crafty Life. It is a ning site where crafters can chat with one another and share their projects and ideas. There are also swaps hosted every month so it's a great place get to give and receive amazingly awesome goodies! I am so honored to be chosen as a featured member. If you have not visited this site do so HERE!

 For now that is what I have for you. I may be back this evening to share a project that I am just about done with. To give you an idea of what it is and what to be looking for it is a coffee sleeve mini album! I am using the ever so amazing Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante paper collection for it and it is lookin' awesome! Until later!
