One of my most favorite paper collections next to Graphic 45 is My Minds Eye. I adore all of there paper collections they've created. Wonderful Winter by My Minds Eye from 2010 is absolutely amazing. The whimsical features and the bright colors are what attracted me to this collection the most. It is not the "typical" Christmas print and that is what I love about it! I have been wanting to make a new card with these gorgeous papers and to create a more colorful holiday card and this is what I came up with!
The fun trees are from the paper collection! HOW CUTE ARE THESE?!? I used a piece of kraft cardstock as the base for the card and layered it with a piece of light blue cardstock. I stamped the snowflakes using Martha Stewarts Snowflakes stamps. I stamped them in a glue pad and sprinkled extra fine light pink glitter on them. The hills I created using a glitter cardstock from Recollections. For the sentiment I cut out the bookplate from the Tim Holtz book plate die and then wrapped it in Pink Sorbet Baker's Twine from the Twinery. The teal twine I received in a RAK so I am unaware of the brand. I just thought that stamp sentiment was super cute for this card and fit perfectly into the wrapped frame! How do you think it turned out?!? I LOVE IT! Thanks for stopping by!

Exciting News & Updates
Hello to my followers! I am so excited to give you all an update on my life in the crafting world. Two VERY exciting things have happened to me this week! The first being that I just found out that I made the design team for MB's Treasurista's Shop. It is an online store selling all kinds of different scrappy goodies ranging from trim, scrapbook paper and other embellishments. SUPER excited for the things to come with that!
The next piece of amazing news is that I was approached and asked by a brick & mortar store owner to sell my makes in her shop called The Pink Butterfly Boutique. I worked this week to make several new items to put in the shop. I took my items up the the store and set up yesterday. I was so proud to see my handmade items in a store; I just had to take a picture. Unfortunately my camera was acting goofy so the picture is somewhat blurry but here it is.
I made quite a few sets of coaster, altered clothespins and I put a couple altered trays up for sale. I also took in a wreath that I made but it is not in this picture. I am hoping my items do well there! The altered tray in the middle is a new one I made for the shop. It is made with the Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium paper collection. I LOVE how it turned out. Here are the pictures:

This paper is so classically beautiful its unbelievable!! I really don't think anything made with this collection could turn out bad.
I truly hope you have enjoyed my newest news. I couldn't wait to share with everyone! :)

Altered Name Sign & Card For a Friend
One of my crafty friends and I decided to do an altered name sign swap. Mataya who is known as Minniescrapper on YouTube is my crafty friend whom I swapped with. Here sign she made me as well as her card can be seen on my YouTube HERE! They were both super gorgeous! Here is the card I made for Mataya:
I LOVE the colors of the card and how it turned out. And here is the name sign:
Mataya and I decided to do a Shabby Chic style for the name sign. This was the first time I had worked with the shabby chic style but I love how pretty the flowers made the sign. All of the flowers except the the larger curly roses is I Am Roses flowers.
I hope she LOVES it! :)

The Stamp Pad: A New Local Store
I found a new local scrapbook store that I have fallen in love with! It is in the town of Kimmswick, MO and is called The Stamp Pad. Historic Kimmswick is an area filled with homes that have been converted into locally owned specialty shops ranging from sweet shoppes, holiday stores, antiques and now paper crafts! When I walked in I just knew I would love this store. It is in a small converted house that is so very cute on the inside and out. The lady that was sitting inside was just as sweet as can be! Her name is Leanna and is the owner (I believe at least). What I really like about The Stamp Pad is she carried stamps and brands that are more difficult to find locally. For example: Leanna has a good selection of My Favorite Things stamps and dies which I was super excited about. I also bought a Christmas tree die that is super adorable by a brand I had not found locally either. The Stamp Pad's prices are excellent as well. I picked up this past Saturday the new Tim Holtz Winter Seasonal Distress Inks for an EXCELLENT price of $15.99! WOW! I was so happy to have been able to get those so soon after the release and I didn't have to wait for them to be shipped to me either.
So, if you live in the area or are passing through St. Louis you should definitely visit The Stamp Pad. You will not be disappointed that you did.

I know the shop is closed on Monday's but I am not exactly sure of the hours each day!

I Am Still Here & Creating...
I feel like I haven't posted in quite some time! So what have I been doing lately?!?! Sadly i've just been busy working. I have made a couple of cards I want to share and talk about a new store that I am in love with! First the cards. One was for my cousin who just had her baby shower. It is a New Parents card made using the "Mom & Dad" stamp set and the other birthday card was using the "Cupcake Anya"! I just can't get enough of these stamps!!! I really need to buy some more because my collection is limited so I just continually use the same ones. Here are the cards:
Next post up: a new local store that I am in love with and have only been there twice!

Katie
